Winnipeg Full Home Revitalization Remodel

We are thrilled to present SPR design&build's exceptional whole home renovation project, aimed at revitalizing a 117-year-old home in the West Alexander neighbourhood. Our team's commitment to repurposing materials, utilizing environmentally friendly alternatives, and to using designs aimed at maximizing functionality has resulted in a remarkable transformation that preserves the home's character, and reduces its ecological footprint while also creating a modern space. 

To maintain some of the home's unique charm, we salvaged various elements such as the interior doors, and the banister. We also repurposed various materials including limestone to create shelves in the kitchen, and teak wood to create the unique feature wall in the living room. By incorporating these salvaged and repurposed materials, we were able to ensure that the home retained some of its original character while also embracing a more sustainable approach. 

Energy efficiency was a key focus throughout the renovation process. We installed an ultra-high efficiency gas furnace, LED lights, energy-efficient windows, and an energy start certified thermostat. By implementing these measures, we aimed to reduce energy consumption and create a comfortable living space for the homeowners.  

Let's delve into the design features that have transformed this home into a functional and aesthetically pleasing space. On the main floor, SPR wanted to embrace an open concept design by opening walls to allow for an easier flow throughout the home. SPR also focused on designing an additional three-piece bathroom for the main floor. We also added in-floor heat, bringing a spa-like feel. In the kitchen, we focused on improving functionality by adding an island with tons of storage and plenty of seating. The kitchen has spacious upper and lower cabinetry, large counter spaces, and accent lighting throughout. The open concept design allowed for a dining area, providing a comfortable space to eat and entertain.

Throughout the home, a main focus for our team was maximizing storage by providing custom closets and storage solutions in all bedrooms, and back and front foyers. 

This project was completed January of 2024.

Winnipeg Main Floor Remodel

SPR design&build completed this project in 2023. Our client's approached our team wanting to revitalize their Main Floor. This included upgrades to their dining area, their kitchen and their main living room. We transformed their dining area into a beautiful and inviting nook, their kitchen into a modern oasis, and their living room into a warm and comforting space for the entire family to enjoy.

Winnipeg Full Home Remodel

SPR design&build began this project by doing a small renovation. The home owners were impressed with our design & build process and decided to continue using SPR design&build to renovate their main living space, kitchen, and other areas throughout their home. SPR design&build was able to create a harmonious balance throughout the entire home where all the rooms felt as comfortable and functional as the next.

Winnipeg Kitchen, Bathroom and Entry Way Remodel

SPR design&build renovated our client's kitchen, bathroom and entry way. Our clients wanted a kitchen that was optimal for prepping their favourite foods and for entertaining. We opened their space so it was continuous with the dining and living room. This made the space more open and welcoming. In their entry way, we provided them with more efficient storage, and even installed a beautiful sliding door. Custom storage and organizational units were designed and installed in both the kitchen and dining areas to increase functionality.
